Can’t tell you how many large rocks I have abused and mutilated with this tile saw just to get a tiny chunk off to see what was inside. I’ve abused this one enough. Sending it to a larger saw. Getting better though. Learned that if I rotate the rock as I cut I can get a decently even sized little slab and if I just use the edge of the blade I can grind the stone to a preform. Nantasket Beach is not so boring and has a wonderful variety of rock.. Slabettes from Nantasket rocks. Marble? It feels like Marble. Definitely something great going on in this one. and will send it off to a bigger saw also. Granite with cool colors and a couple unkown. From VT. Tri colored quartz? Have no idea, but the glitter is not mica, the crystals are too narrow and not sheet like plus it is yellow/orange. Dare I hope that it may be quartz turned citrine?? Or Gold lol. This baby is my favorite. I suppose I should go sitnwrap, been neglecting the silver lately or I could change my name to standnslab. hehe.. As always, thanks for looking. Lori

Lori: You certainly have found some nice material on Nantasket beach........me, I never even noticed rocks on the beach. I must have been distracted by the bikinis. BTW winter is coming so unless you are pretty hardy you will be doing more sitanwrap than standandslab. Woody

I was just wondering how much use the little saw can take before the motor burns out. Woody, I have been known to slip on my Below 30 F suit and walk the beach. The call of the rocks is just so strong.
