A girlfriend was wearing this & I just thought how cool! No...it's not an Opal! (that's just the reflection of neon signs because I took the pic at the Pub.) I'm fairly certain it's just a piece of black glass. I'm not good with guessing gauges buts it's Half round sterling and sturdy enough to hold it's shape well without bending. I just thought this was so pretty and simple I wanted to share with others so they could give it a try too. I have lots of really pretty tumbled stones with odd shapes that just wouldn't lend themselves to pendants and I think this just might be the way to use them! Hope someone else finds this neat too!

That is very elegant in its simplicity. What a great idea.

Thank you for sharing. It is very pretty. If I were to try it, I would use 16 gauge 1/2 hard for the cuff and 16 gauge dead soft 1/2 round for the wrap. It is a great basic design.

I really like that style Liz. It makes me want to attempt one. Thank you Sitnwrap. you have given the guidance I need on how to get started on it. Maybe in a week or two (if work ever slows down) I can attempt something like this. Fran

I just made one and I'm wearing it now. It works great... holding the stone better than I thought. If the stone doesn't come out in my sleep, I'll be sold. I used some 20 guage round steel wire to try it out with. I can tell a 16 guage would be a lot better! Tony
