Tony, That is just too dang cool, and what a "whopper"! All your hard work, dedication, devotion and patience paid off! I'm sure that will be something you'll treasure for the rest of your life, as well as the rest of those in your life. That sure is a Beaut! And if Max approves....I think you did Alright! Steve

That is amazing. I don't think I could even begin to imagine I would take on a monster of that size.

Tony, you are the king of the freeform giant boulders polishing! The shine of that jade is simply outstanding and it reflects not only that bottle but also your determination. WTG, GREAT job!
Adrian
PS. After such a hard work, this masterpiece HAS to become your new avatar!

That's just insane! Are you still married? LOL Yes but barely lol! Thanks all for the nice replies. I have worked on and off for four years, very happy it's done. Grinding, polishing, shaping is a labor of love. This will probably be it, however I have a 90 pound blue jade that is near completion. I quit 4 years ago until a friend of mine built a custom grinding center for doing stuff like this. It is messy, backbreaking, and crazy, only a total screwball would finish. Such is life. This piece will be proudly on display at the jade festival next month and then will be given to family or hanging out in my living room. Not many appreciate this type of hobby but glad it is appreciated here!

Superb job on that! It looks like some kind of shiny alien ooze. Keep that one in your living room, make the family find and polish their own damn alien ooze!

that is totally amazing! it's hard to even get a mental picture of how you even go about such a monumental task. i'd have bailed the first time i dropped it on my foot.
excellent work, Tony. did Max help you with the Boddinton? he looks a bit squiffy!

WOW. Unbelievably gorgeous! What a shine...I went back and saw the reflection Adrian noticed, I was too boggled at the task you took on to notice details the first time! What a beautiful piece of jade - the shine brings at all the hues of green and the patterns. When and where is this jade festival? I'd like to see it in person!

Well it's about time you finished this one! It looks great. You want a nice stand made for it? Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!! I would a base for this. KD yes it's funny, max loves beer. I set a boddingtons down and he comes up to take sip. I make sure to leave it in difficult places while I set it down when I am somewhat sober.

Unbelievable, amazing, incredable gorgeous, just beautiful and awesome. I think those are all the descriptive words I use when looking at rocks and this deserves each and every one.
It may have been a pain in your arse but it is candy to my eyes.

Incredible! That's the kind of stuff you see at the Tucson show. Great job. As for Max, I hope you didn't do any grinding on his "shnozola." It looks pretty worn down to me. Cute dog.

Now looking at that.. Im guessing if the wifey didn't make you sleep with that darn thing.. and Max didn't try and sabatoge the process.. Then I'm guessing it would should be kept and displayed right dead center of your living room! lol.. Excellent Job on that monster btw.. Truely a keeper of a lifetime!
