Most Ghost Wood doesn't make all that great of specimen pieces, but I thought this one was good enough to save as a specimen. This is a 20 pound chunk. The longer I go without finding any more, the more it looks like a roast turkey ready to slice. ;D Curt

Nice!! I know all about saving specimens, I have my own special "rough" collection that won't get cut.

OH MY GOSH!!! CURT!!!
You have absolutely done it with this magnificent piece. This is simply too beautiful to be cut. There are all kinds of hidden images in this one.
In just a minute's time, I have already found: a dog, a chimpanzee, a cowering wolf, a viscious croc, a lizard, a leopard, and two wolverines. But the most beautiful image is the most prominent - there is a gorgeous American Bald Eagle! - up front and center.
This find is worthy of pride of place in a display cabinet. Mother Earth has gifted you with one of her finest works of art! What a lucky fellow you are!!!!
You know how much I love hidden imagery! Thanks so much for sharing the beauty with all of us.

Curt, that's a BEAUTIFUL piece! Don't cease to the temptation of cutting it, it's gorgeous! Kate, I see the eagle, too! The other visions of yours still remain hidden to me Adrian

Lady B just posted perfectly why it is called Ghost Wood. That specimen is amazingly beautiful and I do see the eagle.
