Yesterday me and 3 other guys from my LRC went to the rose river to look for unikite. The river takes about 4 hours to get to. Bill, Roger and Larry gearing up. Photo of the river from above. Doesn't look too bad. River view from below. It had rained alot for the last 2 days. The guys with some of their larger finds. View of the mountains around us. After about 4 hours we moved up into the mountains to look. While we were up there we got hit by a sudden downpour which got the wash downs flowing. Roger following a wash down where I just found a nice chunk of mountain quartz. Now for the photos of what I found. Mountain quartz that I found in the wash down. VA blue quartz in matrix. VA unikite And finally some slabs from some of the smaller rocks. Thanks for looking.

Great finds! I straightened a 20 inch blade for Bill a few weeks ago, I need to get back up with him and find out if it's working ok. If you get that unakite slabbed, we need to do a trade. ;D

It seems you had both great fun and a heavy and nice haul. Beautiful landscapes!
