Last week I got a box from Adrian, in it he sent me a pet wood sculpture and a few pieces of rocks to add to my display case. The base on the pet wood had broken in transit, so I ordered some 330 epoxy to fix it up before I took any pictures. (That 330 epoxy is some good stuff!!) These pics were taken inside with a flash, so they are not as good as they could be. Here is the natural side The other side with a killer polish on it You can see the depth of the polish in this pic better And some display cabinet rocks that came from clear over there --------------> He even put a cool inscription on the bottom, what a piece to treasure!! Thanks Adrian, I will treasure this for the rest of my life!!!

Glad to know you enjoy it, Tony! You sent me so many rocks that I was concerned about Earth's balance, so I had to do something for that This pet wood has been posted before, when I've done it. Here it is: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=Pictures&action=display&thread=25260Thank you for catching the shine much better than I did. And I am so glad it arrived OK to you, at least the main piece! Also glad that you managed to repair the base. I don't remember about sending you any tomatoes, though. But it might had been a good idea, maybe the base wouldn't had been broken this way ;D Adrian PS. About the other stones: the two roundish ones are beach rocks from Lesbos. Cutting them would be interesting. The one in the upper right is pet wood from Danube. Also pretty tough and polishable. The big brown piece in the bottom of the pic is opalised wood. Pretty cracked and no wooden grain at all in the inside, I recommend you to keep it a it is.

Those are amazing. It does look like the wood from the sculpture is still wood and not petrified. The last one looks as if the sun is setting low in the valley.
Thanks for sharing the pics.

Wow, those are beautiful, Adrian! What a nice gesture! Glad to hear I won't go spinning off the planet any time soon due to newly induced wobble.
