Hi, everyone! That's my latest wrap, from a Gary Green piece from Daniel - thank you again Daniel! It's the first time when I made a groove wrap on a cab shaped as you see, with concave sides. In theory it's good to tension a bit the wire and this would straighten it, getting it out of the groove in the concave areas. But I gladly found out the wire has enough stiffness for not needing to be tensioned. The wrap is very secure. I have to give credit for the cab's shape to the one who inspired me: I saw a gorgeous cab having that shape when I visited Zoran. Maybe some of you already know/use that shape but there's where I firstly noticed it so thank you Zoran for the inspiration! OK, enough talking, here's the pendant: Thank you for looking, Adrian PS. I only suppose this stone is Gary Green, any ID/opinion is welcome. Thanks again

The shape of this cab is wonderful. It reminds me of the shape used for family Crests and with that in mind your wrap compliments the shape beautifully. With the colors of the Gary Green and the shine you gave to it, the pendent is stunning.

I love that one, Adrian! Great shape for the pattern. I wonder what it would be like if you let the wire go straight at the inside curve areas? Tony

Thank you everyone! Tony Catmandewe - Tony W - I also wandered how would look a groove wrap where the tensioned wire is straight and the side is concave. But I think the concavity might be bigger for a nice effect, eitherway it would look like the wire got out from the groove by mistake. Daniel - this was the smaller piece of Gary Green and the cab consumed it all, but I still have another bigger slab. Adrian

I'm new to the board and wire wrapping. I think wrapping lets the stone be the star as you've done so beautifully in this piece. What shape/size wire did you use and were the sizes the same for the groove and the wrap at the tops. Thank you so much for sharing. You've inspired me to get going.

Wow, what a beautiful stone and I love the way you do your wraps, it just showcases the stone in such a wonderful way. I like simple elegance, which this is.
