I had submitted my labradorite wrapped pendant and won again! I selected my prize and they've shipped it already, scheduled for delivery next week. I called UPS on a work related matter and checked the status of this one anyways. I can track it online but I just wanted to know if it moved. Can you tell I'm anxious? Here,s the link & the story: stoneageindustries.com/labradorite_wire_wrap.htmlTHEN the BAD news! Apart from paying the shipping cost of about $20 already cuz they have to ship across the border (which I don't mind), I just found out that ON TOP of that, UPS charges their brokerage fee - so about $19.25 for their fee + another minimum of $5 for something else AND then the taxes and the COD charge, so this $50 order that I'm getting as a prize is actually costing me MORE than what's in the box! What is it that they do for this brokerage fee anyways? Hopefully I'm mistaken and the $19.25 is the shipping charge of about $20 that I mentioned before and paid to StoneAgeIndustries. Othwewise why am I paying for UPS? (I thought for a buck more than USPS, I could track the package and though that was good) had I known, I'd have sent it USPS and only end up paying the taxes at the border I'm kinda bummed now! Why is there such a hassle when stuff crosses the border, it's not like it costs less than buying stuff here!

Beautiful pendant, I can see why it was chosen as the winner. Sorry to hear about your extra expenses.

The brokerage fee that UPS charges is them taking the package through customs and getting cleared. They have to do paper work not $20 worth but thats why all my international packages go USPS they dont charge that fee.
Also that piece is beautiful......... I see why you won.
