I would like to attach a cab to a bookmark like this: www.firemountaingems.com/details.asp?PN=H206273FNI have no experience with drilling holes in cabs so I dont even want to go there at this point. What would be the best way to attach the cab to the little loop on the the end of the bookmark? I want it to look good and be secure. I could wirewrap the cab first but may not have time and want a more simple back up plan. Thanks, Shannon

I have attached some cabs to various items using Epoxy 330, 5 Minute Epoxy and regular super glue with good results. I prefer to use the Epoxy 330. You could glue a bail like these to the cab then attach it to the bookmark. This photo is from tonyterner he posted it in another section on this site.

i agree with the 330 epoxy also. That's some good stuff. I also use the E-6000 and it quite good also.
Also drilling is not as bad as it may seem.

Hi Shannon ,
My wife makes book marks simular but uses beads they look great and her selling line to small children is "give them to your Granma who is difficult to please as she has most things already" !!!!!
They sell well

Drilling
Use a diamond drill in a ordanary DIY drill & drill with rock under water lifting up and down to clear grinds,
I have used High speed Dremel and find they "Burn " the drills out far far to quick

Jack, I tried that using my drill press. Still took forever and made a hole much bigger than I planned. I'll stick to making wire wrapped bails and gluing them on. Its much quicker and I like the added touch.

Jack,
Tell your wife her bookmarks are beautiful!
I remember a few years ago when I first started cabbing and tumbling, I often wondered what I could possibly do with all of my stones. Over the years Ive found that the ideas for them are pretty much limitless.
Thanks for sharing the photo!
