I'd like a special, one-of-a-kind exacto knife. There are three designs that I'm thinking: The basic tubular design: the most straightforward design. Just a 3/8" tube with internal threading at both ends to allow for hardware. More ergonomic: A departure from the tube with a bulbous end like a pen marketed toward doctors. Uber ergonomic: Balanced and ergonomic and unmistakably yours. Stone and/or material to be determined. I'm thinking nothing too fancy - something simple, masculine. Doesn't even have to be stone. Could be hardwood, fossilized maybe? I don't know. I'll research it. think you could do it? I can pay you...

If you want to give it to me I would be more than happy to spend it.....
Actually you should contact member "nansaidh". She has a post of some pens she has recently made and it maybe just what you are looking for.

I would try reposting this in the general section. Probably a lot of people out there who could make something pen like who would never look at this section as it tends to be stuff with motors.

Am I missing something here. If you like the shape of the exacto why not buy it? I have a wood lathe, although its not set up right now, but that seems to be out of round. If that is the case it can still be turned on a lathe but it becomes much more difficult.
