Does anyone have or know where to find tutorials on wire wrapping? I have a few cabs that I would like to try my hand at. Thanks Tink

Hi Tink, I have to run out right now but will be back with some tuts for you. In the mean time, check the wire wrapping thread I know there are some tuts there but you'll have to go through a few pages.

page 10 of this forum has some tutorials and I grabbed this one for you. It should get you started. There are a couple more on that page so you might want to take a look. Also, youtube has tutorials and you can watch as you wrap. Have fun. jewelrymaking.about.com/library/weekly/aa112398.htm

That's actually the one that I started with - well, that one and one of Preston Reuther's videos. Never ask to see that piece. When I teach, those are the basics I cover. There are a few other hints and tips I've picked up as I've wrapped, but that really does cover it all!

I wish I had come across that link when I first started wrapping cabs. Instead, I found this board, and kept trying to copy some of the expert wrappers here. The hardest part for me was following the wires and figuring what they did with them. ;D
I did stumble on Preston's tutorial for bracelets and use that basic design a lot.

Somewhere, I posted a complete tutorial on this site. I do not remember the heading, but it was start to finish.

Doc wasn't it the wrapping of fire & ice?
I remember you posted one too but I can't search for it because there's only 3 letters in two of those words - I wanted to read that again - that must have been from over 3 years ago

I remember reading it as well - it had Banjo's version of the wrap. When I read it the first time, all I could think was huh? I think it would make a lot more sense now!
