Hi,
Is it safe to use a 20 year old silicon carbide wheel?
Thanks in advance.

As long as the wheel is in good shape I can't see why not. I'm no expert but it wouldn't stop me.

Suspend it from a string and tap it gently on the side with a piece of metal or hammer. If it rings then it should be intact. If it has a dull sound, it might have a crack in it. If there are no obvious dings or damage it should be OK. Bob

Thanks for the responses, I will put appropriate safety gear on tomorrow and give it a go.
Thanks.
