Hi, everyone! I think I finally found a name for my naturally surface polished rocks: Mega + Cabochons = Megachons ;D Firstly, a flint with a fossil snail into it. There are some other fossils too, but less visible: And the second one, a local agate in rhyolite. Usually the rhyolite is overwhelming the agate, but this piece was very rich in purple agate and I polished it on almost all its sutfaces, correcting them only a bit and leaving only the base rough: In this first pic, the colors are close to real: Thank you for looking, Adrian

Cool a "cabzilla"! I see you did that thing again with the sides (sorry I can't remember what you called it *doh*)
I like them all! beautiful job on the shine - the inside is almost like a snowglobe

Adrian -- those are really cool cabs...I picked up some very similar pieces from the castle dale area here in Utah.
Thanks for sharing.

I really like the agates. Very nice depth and excellent polish! I'm going to try that with some of my pet wood and agate rough soon. I have some nice fist-size river agates just waiting in a bucket... BTW, it's spelled "cabochons"

Thanks, 88path! We use the short form "cab" so much here, that I forgot the correct spelling Adrian
