Have you ever gotten black wood to take a polish? Seems like lots of the pet wood from Oregon ends up being merely carbonized and it comes out dull, no matter what I try.

Great stuff with some wonderful colors! For some reason, pet woods really blows me away in terms of being awed by nature. It's a non-renewable resource, so treat it as precious!

is this green wood from hamptom butte in Oregon? looks a lot similar to the stuff we picked up there in June.
