I have been using super glue to hold the dop stick on when cabbing and I thought "I wonder if I can glue rocks together???". Well the answer is yes you can. This is some green and red jasper super glued together, cabbed, then groove wrapped. Makes kind of a Christmas wrap.

Did you use clamps to hold them together while the glue cured?

It's looking great, beautiful color combination. I did one like this a while ago (only two pieces glued and not with super glue but with epoxy) and was surprised how well they kept together during the cabbing process.

I just flat lapped the side put a drop of glue on it and stuck it together. No clamps, just held it for about 20 seconds.

Nicely done! Looks great.. and I know how hard it can be to get the flats flat enough to fit real tight. I warn you that you might want to go to epoxy for the glue on these. I haven't had super glue hold up as well as epoxy when I make rock collages. But wear it and knock it around some and see how it holds up. Tony

OK, Saskrock, I know you are a perfectionist, so send that to me and I will let you know how it holds up through the holiday season, as I wear it with all my red and green sweaters Now that is a cool idea and it looks so seamless, I am liking that a lot!!! Amber

Very nice effect. Have you tried epoxy 330 to glue stones together, works great.
