I'm trying to wrap one wire tight around a 2rd wire I got to 1/2" and the pain in my hands has made me stop. How is it done ?? And how long of a wraped wire do I need to glue on the back of a cab and hang with the wraped wire being part of the O that the cord goes though?? thanks for any help,

The entire bail in the one that I posted, from top to bottom measures exactly 1 inch. In order for your binding wraps to be tight, the wire should be fairly soft. I only use dead-soft wire for my binding wraps.

I'm with Randy on the dead soft. If you are using craft wire it tends to be harder and the brass softer.
