Wow, I remember doing tye-dyes in college, mine never came out that nice, they will brighten up the winter blues!!! It is always fun to see the creative ideas people come up with rock or not, it is still a good place to share artistic endeavors. Amber

Outta Sight!! I LOVE the top one. You did a groovy job there Puppies. I did some tie dye t-shirts with my son one summer. Mine came out with great patterns, but nowhere as bright of colors as yours.
Thanks for the pics!!

Thanks. I'm trying to perfect my techniques, especially on the star/mandala type designs. Maybe Joe can get some better pictures. I'm still working on some so if any more are good I will post them! That first one looks sort of like a fancy Christmas ornament -- or maybe one of the spaceships on close encounters.

Wow patterns like that really need some forethought and skill. One of my favorite t-shirts is one I bought at the only Grateful Dead concert I went to. It has some holes worn in it but I will never get rid of it.

Back to the sixties for sure! If you really want to see one of the "pop" get an old card tablw, clean and sand it, then laminate one of the to the top using polyester resin! The first coat should be just thick enough to stick the fabric down.......too much, and it will float up. When that has kicked off, lay on more coats until you have a nice smooth surface. I did the first of these in the sixties, and they are still in use, although a wee bit tattered. Did a canoe the same way, but have long since lost track of it.......now that had the 'over thirties' crowd up in arms. Woody

I don't remember seeing a tye-dye with such exact symmetry. The colors are beautiful and I really love the one in the second pic. You did a great job on thises.
