Ok - Time I posted a pic or two. Back in OCtober I posted pics of RocksJ2B2's big drag saw. I thought the saw would not achieve its full potential unless large slabs were cut, and I was afraid Bruce was just going to chunk up the rock for the 30" saw. While this may have been a test run, and there is plenty of time to get some full round stumps and cut some high-dollar slabs, this rock just got chunked up: The rock shows some bands of color but kinda muted and the vugs are everywhere.

When the weather gets better,( right now a dog sled is needed to get on and off our hill) so I am staying put, I think, I need to make a trip down just to see that saw! Then of course there is that Fifty cent a pound pile he has that I was not able to visit on the Thanksgiving trip. Woody

Woody -
The club trip "silver-pick" did not get scheduled last weekend because Bruce did not have time before he left for Arizona. So, we will have our trip in mid-late March.
Bruce is going to dump all the 4x4x4 containers of misc rock into a pile we can pick over. Maybe you can join us then?
The other 50cent pile at Rock Castle in Lebanon should be available any Monday-Sat. Joe is in AZ, but his daughter or a neighbor opens the shop and rock yard.

I am always so impressed to see those big saws and what you can cut up with them. That material is really fantastic looking. it is too bad it has so many vugs! I am sure a lot of it could be used though! Fran
