Hey folks! Between working at work and working on the house I haven't been around much, nor have I had much time to play with my rocks. Today I stopped at the rock shop and treated myself to some nice rough (all for $2/pound!). Here's what I got Mel check out the root! This is some more of the golden root I picked up a while back.. still no idea where it's from Sagenite Some kinda Jasper Stone Canyon Indian Paint? Owyhee and Bruneau chunks and some wood Pigeon Blood and Flame Sugilite? Dense and purple, but there's a little red in it too Morrisonite maybe? Gonna try and get caught up on the board this weekend and get some quality stone time Thanks for looking!

$2/pound!! Did you find Santa Claus in the back of that rock shop . . . or mug him. ;D Nice haul. That big root looks like a polish up the whole chunk, like Nephrite's jade. Rich

Thanks everyone! I cut a couple of the smaller nodules today (you can make them out to the far right on the tailgate shot). What a great day, I got to play ;D Even started a couple cabs.
Mel I knew you'd dig the root!

Those rocks are so beautiful and at that price you might consider them as a gift. The root and the rocks in the 9th pic are fantastic.
