It's not too bad when it gets above zero, ya just gotta work hard enough to stay warm... Back in the '80s I worked at Big Sky ski resort, we would downhill ski when it was as cold as minus 10. They would stop running the lifts when it got colder than that. Of course we wore face masks and drank lots of wine. I doubt I could handle that now though....

Oh how I like it. You live in a beautiful area GF. I always like your pictures. Skinny skiing? At my weight, I wouldn't be allowed into that club. It would be a sight to behold.

What, face masks ONLY? That is what skinny skiing is all about, right? Dang, what was the wind chill?

BuiltonRock, yes we rejoice and be glad in this day.... This season brings out the best in people, Christmas is one of the glues that binds us all together regardless of other differences. I wish those who oppose this holiday could realize that we can respect their right to dissent, and that we love them as well. We did kind of steal their holiday, as Christ was most likely born in August.
Karenfh, good one! No, I never tried it quite that way, would get freeze dried! Though we would sunbathe in a solarium built up high in the ski area's bowl. One would burn in less than 20 minutes at that altitude and with the reflection. As for wind chill, the right types of clothing layers protect one from that.

To continue John's song....
Fall on your knees, oh hear the Angel voices....
What a beautiful sight.
