I made this rhodochrosite cab about a month ago and the first time she saw it Bejewelme asked me if she could have it. I told her no since it was the only piece I had and was quiet a gemmy piece. I knew she loved this cab and wanted to do something special for a Christmas present for her. I also knew Connrock was doing silverwork and I had asked him several favors in the the past. Knowing he could never say no I asked him if he could set this cab into silver and he agreed. This is the result. For some reason Tom was afraid I wouldn't like what he had done. I have no idea why as the piece is stunning. I was really blown away by his work. The next time you see him post a piece and read his apologies for the workmanship you will know he's full of coprolite. Thank you Tom for letting me take advantage of your generous nature. You took a nice cab and turned it into a beautiful piece of jewelry. You da man.

Connrock is very modest, because he did a spectacular job on this for your sweetie. Looks like a jewel fit for a Queen! I'll bet she was tickled pink. Jo

This was a great Christmas gift, Tony always lets me pick from his cabs, and he wasn't budging on this one!! It was sort of a running joke between us, and I would try to swipe it when I was there. Well when I saw this set in the silver I almost died. Of course I wrote Connrock immediately, and he said this was only the 2nd silver bezel he did. I couldn't believe it, because when compared to ones I bought at stores, his is really nicer, it is seamless and flawless. I treasure this piece and have been wearing it everyday!!!!! Thank you Tony and Connrock!!!! Tony, now you gotta make a new cab for us to fight over!!! Amber

Ahhhh shucks,,,,you 2 are makin' me blush! I was so worried that you wouldn't like it and being that Tony didn't give me much time to do it I had to rush myself. That usually leads to disaster for me but I told him I'd have it to him before Christmas so I did,,,,flaws and all! I should correct myself as this was the 3rd bezel setting I did. I can pick this piece and all the others I've done ALL apart and I'll bet dollars to donuts if you look close enough you can too. When I get as good as Zotica,Bobby,Doc and a few others on this board then I'll be satisfied.Till then I''m still just a "Ham-n-Egger"! To quote my dad,,"Good enough is NEVER good enough"! connrock

You said it right there, bejewelme! The threads of friendship, or maybe just the wonderful talent and skills of Connrock and Tony make it shine!!! The pinks are so deep on it! I can't see a fault with the silverwork at ALL Connrock! What a perfect surprise and Christmas gift!!

The cab and the setting are gorgeous together. Beautifully put Amber. Two tallents working together for one common goal. Adds to the sentiment of the pendant. You must have received a lot of compliments on it today.

No pics, you don't need my ugly mug ruining a nice piece of jewlery!!! MJ- Notice that last week Tony just let me go about cabbing my own rhodochrosite, hahaha, I am going to make him one, between what you sent, and Stonesthatrock sent me a gorgeous piece, I am going to make him one just as nice for his own collection. Thanks everyone, I am glad you like my favorite Christmas gift this year!!! Amber

Don't let Tom fool you. He has been my guru and teacher in smithy work, and he knows stuff only the aliens should know! And he will bend over backwards to do stuff for you, and help you, and way more than he needs to. He told me he had done this for Tony and showed me, but never said it was posted....I think he wants to help me think I'm sort of close to him with my soldering, and all the while he is pulling away into big time silver stardom! He did real good on this!!! Great job, teach! Now don't be taking on any more students...I need too much help Tony

Wow Tony!
Amber... That is an amazing pendant! What a spectacular Rhodochrosite, really beautiful cab, deep pink, and super gemmy, I love the banding, that's almost Agate like ;D Definitely one of your best Tony! And set in Silver by Mr Rock, He's the Geezer when it comes to superior silver-work. Excellent job all round, and a perfect gift to be proud of, your very lucky Amber, that's just gorgeous! ;D
Cheers,
Sparkles.

I've come back to this post several times trying to think of the right words to respond to all of your nice comments but for one of the VERY few times in my life I don't have the answer.
All I can say is thank you all and you are all to kind.
