I have been getting blades from here. rocklady1.com/Products.htmlThey are Asian made but the price is good. Seem like they cut well. This is the only sintered blade I have used but after a year of cutting it shows little wear. I have a 8".

I have been very pleased with the prices and products. Best prices on diamond wheels I can find as well. I just bought a a Husky from Home Depot. They are known for quality blades, but it does say right on it, Made in China. I have had a 10" blade on my other saw for a year now, and no visible damage or excessive wear.

Lapidary diamond blades The MK-1000 Saber blades are Made in the USA and are a significant breakthrough after years of research and development. Ultra-thin and made of stainless steel. The saber blades conserve gemstone materials and hold waste to a minimum. This makes them the ideal choice for such precious materials as sapphire, jade, ruby and opal. The saber blade cuts twice the speed of ordinary lapidary blades. The Ultra-thin rim cuts with little chipping and leaves a remarkably smooth surface requiring less polishing time. The MK-303 Professional series diamond blade is also made in the USA and is a premium quality blade with the highest concentration of diamond. The MK-303 Professional produces smoother cuts and is used for cutting rare and valuable materials when waste must be held to a minimum and speed of cut is essential. The professional series diamond blades last longer and will cut faster than ordinary notched rim or plated diamond blades. www.mk-diamond-blades.com/lapidary_blades.html
There are also supposed to be excellent blades from Brazil's steel industry.

MK/Barranca no longer manufactures blades. The 303 has always been made in Korea. Their old 301 and 297 blades were made in CA but the new301 is made in the same Korean factory. I'm not sure about the Saber but heard they were being discontinued because of short blade life as they are a plated blade. The 303 and new 301 are both very high quality/long lasting blades.
