Here is a thirty five pound piece of pet wood collected at Saddle Mountain, Washington. The bottom has been sawn to stabilize it. Woody  The bottom  The slab cut

Nice chunk of wood. Lots of color especialy near the bottom.

I shall find the piece I cut from the bottom, photograph it, and attach it to this post. The big problem is,it WILL fit in the saw so is not safe from being slabbed in a weak moment. Woody
