I guess I should have asked for help last year! I found a beautiful old HP E10 Combo saw, bought a motor, and they've been sitting in my garage for months. I've looked high and low for something to mount them on, preferably with wheels. Randy suggested a Sears tool chest but I can't seem to find anything that will accomodate the size of the saw (about 38" x 16") along with mounting the motor in a usable position. I don't have the equipment to build anything myself and need to be able to move it in and out of my garage to use. Can any of you pros offer suggestions along with pictures to help me get going? I can't spend a huge amount for anything too fancy but having the saw sit idle is making me crazy. Susan 2

Here in Saskatoon, we have a place called the House of Tools, (I'm sure you have a similar place ). They sell all sorts of stands for tablesaws and other woodworking machinery. Worst case you might have to go to a lumberyard and have them cut you a peice of plywood for a top. some of the stands have wheels already, and others need a wheel kit.

Dreamweaver just hit the nail on the head. Harbor Freight and tool has your answer. Do a search for Cart, and you will get a list of metal carts capable of 450 lb and more on wheels. Perfect for what your doing. the best part, they are all for under a $100.

So I've finally done it. Ordered a Rubbermaid Flat Shelf utility cart. It definitely won't ever rust. I'll sandwich a piece of plywood above and below to bolt the saw into. I did check the Harbor Freight web site and there is one about an hour or so from me. I'm paying about $30 more, free shipping, and hopefully something that will last for a long time. I'll post pictures once I get it all put together if I can figure it all out! Thanks to all! And Randy, thanks for the pictures. This is a combo unit so your slab saw mounting is different. Wish I had one.... sniff, sniff. Susan 2

You can mount any piece of equipment to a tool cart, and the wheels are a definate plus because it's such a pain trying to carry this stuff around all the time. The Rubbermaid should last forever.
