If you read the contest section than you know my wife Tammy and I are having a baby this week. Well I got this baby a week early! You may also know that Texaswoodie found an 18" Highland last week and bought it. He knew I was looking too and he graciously offer his 14" Texas Rock saw to me. Workforce!! Texas Rock saw!! Are you getting the picture? First of many slabs to come. The fun part was how do we get the saw from East Texas to Missouri? My suggestion was to meet in Arkansas! He obliged and we meet New Years day for the saw exchange. We had also heard there was some Petrified Wood in the area and decided to hunt a little. We had a great time, but found very little rock so I am sorry to say I took no pictures. Maybe I can paint a picture of Curt for you. It will not not be a Dutch Masterpiece, but more of a Renoir as the man I meet was much more complex than this board would ever reveal. I would start by saying Curt is modest and humble of his own accomplishments. Yet fiercely proud of his family and their deeds. A courteous man, friendly, respectful and a bit cautious. Slow to speak, but quick to listen. He has an free spirit about him! Not the old hippie kind, but the kind that won the West. The kinda friend you want on your side when the chips are down. A true paradox when you roll all this into the curmudgeon outer coats he wears for all to see ;D Sorry to embarass you Curt John

Sweet baby John, though I was expecting one with arms, legs and a sweet little face, but this ones a beauty none the less. Good for both of you as I am sure Curt was happy to see that big guy go to another board member.

Ok, are you going to be cnaging diapers or rocks this week? What a great gift, 2 in one week!! I know you have shared your saw dilemas with me, so I am so happy you were able to manage to get a saw. I am bummed about no pic of Curt, but I imagine him to be a man of great class! I sort of picture him as a man that would protect his family, and one who is a man of faith. Great job on working these deals!!! Amber

I knew John had been looking for a saw for a long time, and I was proud to be blessed with the opportunity to be the one to help his wishes come true. May it run long and true for you John.
John is also a man of great faith, knowledgeable of the word, a teacher, and once he calls you friend, you have an instant feeling that it is for life. There are no coincidences in life. God brings people together for a reason, and the saw was only a catalyst.
Thank you for the kind words. And thanks for not saying anything about the truck keys ;D
Curt

Way to go, Curt! You couldn't have offered your saw to a nicer person. I'm glad you two got to meet. John, I love the pics comparing the workforce to your new baby. But since that new saw is from Texas, you'd better use a Dr. Pepper next time!
Changing diapers or rocks.... that's a good one!

Congrats! So is the saw the second child of the family? It did come along before the currently expected one.... Way to go Curt, indeed! I've also had the pleasure of meeting Curt - he's a great guy.

Thank for the nice word you guys. Curt and I will let you tell about the vanishing keys ;D
Huff, I was raised in Texas and Big Red was all I drank as a kid. It has been years since I had one!
