Tony, you are simply working at another scale!
Talking about painting, wouldn't be easier to laquer the stone? ;D Just kidding, I hate when I see that.
That jade is amazing, I like those white veins going through it. That smaller one seems to be a piece which was broken from the big one, is it? You could call this work "Mother anc Child".

WOW! That is just so beautiful, I love that material! I wish I would have been into rocks when I lived in CA!!! I am sure it is a labor intensive task, but so worth it in the end!!!!

I can't even imagine hauling out a 90 pound boulder from the deep sea so this whole process from find to haul to shine is unbelievable.
The rock is gorgeous and I bet after this one and a good long rest, you'll recharge and find another huge boulder begging for the same special treatment. I think burnout is just a temporary condition.

I really like how your boulders turn out and this will be no exception! I am amazed also that you get these out of the ocean. I just don't know how you manage to get them out. That is a hard bit of swimming! Fran

You should see the slippery cliff Tony has to then carry those monsters up once they are out of the ocean.

Wow! Beautiful hunk of nephrite! That's quite a good idea to paint before you sand. It sort of reminds me of crosshatch marks on slabs before going on to the next step to make sure you get all the saw marks out. I hope to see this when it is finished!
