Here are some more specimens we find here in Wyoming... Shirley Rim Silicified Wood More Shirley Rim Silicified Wood Casper Mtn. Red Agate...(these polish nice and are very beautiful, but they facture easily and tend to trap polish in the cracks) Marshall Road Agates (somewhat similar to Montana Moss Agate) Sun Quartz

Thanks all... Wyoming has a very geologically active past, the diversity and amount of material available here for collection is pretty astounding...the pictures I have been posting only represent a small fraction of my collection, and still there are many other rocks here in Wyoming I have yet to collect...every summer I add something new to my collection I didn't have before it seems...

Thanks... Yeah, the quartz takes awhile to get that kind of shine, I leave it in the vibe with aluminium oxide for about 2 weeks....

Nice pieces. The only thing I've seen from WY before is Blue Forest / Eden Valley pet wood.

Be careful. If you put that Sun Quartz in a dish people are going to try to eat it!

Hi Mikes,
Thanks for posting your local tumbles, it's marvelous to see what people have close to hand, and I love seeing new varieties and locations for gem material. I love the Silcified Wood, that stuff has a really glassy shine and looks like a truly excellent Pet Wood. And the Casper Mountain Agate has a really deep colour that is quite fantastic. Collecting Agates of any kind is a great pleasure, looks like you've had some good fun too, Nice tumbles indeed! ;D
Cheers,
Sparkles.
