.....and he is right~~~~~~~ it is fantastic!!! Well texaswoodie got my caddo prize box sent out, and man what a box!! I thought I was getting a piece of caddo wood, but I got a whole FRB of Curt's famous woods! Wood could be my new favorite material. Here is a piece of the caddo he cut and polished, it is beautiful! A piece of black druzy wood, oh man do I LOVE this, it is blingy and shiny, and you know I love bling!! Both of these are in a place of honor on my shelf!!! Assorted local jaspers Assorted local pet woods More Wood And more wood note the fancy ghost wood, I love it! Snake Wood Palm Wood?? Stripey thing??? Many thanks Curt, this was a great box, and these pieces are so beautiful, they are going to make many beautiful cabs!!! I am glad you like the name Caddo Wood!! It was so fun helping you find a name for this beautiful material. Maybe you could ID the taped slabs for us, the really dark one on the left is really cool. I LOVE CURT'S WOOD!! Amber

Glad you like my wood Amber. Sheesh, this is twice in one month I've been embarrassed on this board. The cardboard on the left has, starting left top and clockwise Unknown Jasper, Stromatolite, Ghost Wood, Plain ol' Wood. Right cardboard Top left going clockwise is Wonderstone, local wood, local wood, Snakewood, local, Caddo, Caddo, local, Caddo, Thumbprint Wood, in the center is Plume Agate. Local= No name wood. Hope you enjoy! Let's see some cabs! Curt

Way to grab some attention, there, Amber!

I must admit...the title drew me in, as well.
But I pretty much knew what to expect as I also have been the most fortunate recipient of Curt's generosity. I have both a black and a white piece of Curt's famous druzy woods. They sit in pride of place settings in my curio cabinet so everyone who visits can also enjoy them.
Amber, you have just found out firsthand, how big a heart some Texans have!! Enjoy your prize gifts to the hilt!!

I think Amber came here too late to see Curt's druzy wood blitz of last year. Those of us who were here can never forget the rainbow of druzy wood that Curt posted. This one just might disappear from Amber's shelf. ;D I might have to steal a piece of that snakewood as well. I've turned the real stuff but never worked pet snakewood. Of course now that she has her own machine her rocks wont be sitting in my basement and it will be harder to raid her pile. lol WTG Curt!
