Hi,
I have a tumbler (I think it is an ML Beach), I think it needs a new motor, does anyone know where I can purchase one in the UK and to be a real pain, what are the things I need to know to buy one.
Thanks in advance.

the motor need`s to be bench tested first. As for the motor you`l be shopping in your on Back Yard. ( 240 volt ) Ah. Myself i have`t heard of the band you speak of. Most shops in your local area well be able to order world wide. This Link; www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/start.shtml Has the best solution of parts for any lapidary thought. Jack

Not knowing what type of motor you have the important things are:
RPM (speed of motor) HP (horsepower - expressed as hp, watts or fraction of amps such as .65 A Shaft size Frame size or style
If it is a small motor you can take the motor to an appliance repair shop or motor shop and have them match it up. Some manufacturers use OEM (original equipment manufacture) motors made especially for them. If that is the case you'll have to find the supplier for that brand or improvise.

You could try taking the motor out if iy is definately not running and taking it to your nearest Maplins.
Don't know where it would be for you, Lincolnshire is a big place, possibly Shootchiehorpe or Donny might be your best bet.

Thanks in advance. Paula Hi Paula, I have found two addresses that may be the manufacturer the second one is most likely your best bet as i do not think that `M L Beach Products Ltd.' are in business anymore, but i may be wrong. First have a look at this link you may find your tumbler is one of them, if so you could contact them to ask. UKGE Ltd.(Beach tumblers)Address 1: M L Beach Products Ltd 24 Cole Park Road Twickenham Middlesex TW1 1HW M L Beach Products Ltd. Possible location??Address 2: Beach Lapidary Ltd. Unit 1C Chapel lane Westcott Dorking Surrey RH4 3PJ United Kingdom Tel: IDC +44 (0)1306 875776 Beach Lapidary Ltd. Possible location??IDC = International Dialing Code, 44 then omit the (0). 00 from Europe or 011 from USA.
