Hi again, Sorry if I bored you with my double stones pendants, here's another idea: Here's how it sits on the chain around the neck: Side view: And now a pic of the back. Not for the impressible persons, you might have nightmares. It's a mess but I think I already figured out how to civilize it: Despite appearances, this upper cab is very secure: although it has to support its own weight only, it feels very steady if I hold the whole pendant gripping it from this small cab. I also shook it several times and no displacements occured. I used again the cabs I had at hand, these ones were cabbed long time ago and now I found them good to use in this new experiment. As you see the upper cab is not grooved but classic, and much thinner than the main one. I'm glad because this way I'm able to use the thin slabs which I couldn't turn into grooved cabs. Thanks again for looking and sorry if I'm boring. Adrian

I've been watching the progression of this concept, Adrian, and this is just fascinating. I'm liking this one alot. Although the others were cool as heck, the overall shape of this one is visually pleasing. Kinda like a sunrise/sunset effect. I like the zero distance with the groove wrap. The last two might have been more pleasing to the eye if there was a solid line of silver between them. Just a thought, hope it helps. Really awesome stuff! Jo

Boring? Well if that's boring then I like boring! The shape of the upper stone really works for the design! I can see why you like the idea of hiding the bail! It's very clean. Have you though of using a small calibrated cab and one of those premade settings to hide the bail? I gotta say Well, I'd probably like what you have already more. Steve

Thank you everyone! I think this one is my favorite design of pendants having two cabs and the bail hidden. I think I'll try with round upper cabs, this way only 3 prongs are needed.
Steve, yes I could use maybe those pre-made settings but I like the idea of the pendant completely hand-made. Besides, these pre-made settings are not available here.

Adrian, I really like this one too! What size wire are you using for the top? It looks very sturdy to hold the cab and I am interested because something I have been working on for my husband (not turning out at all the way I want it to) has two stones. The top is a faceted stone and the bottom is a cab. I am having a hard time anchoring the top stone. You give me so many good ideas, if only they would come out when I try... Fran

Fran, I'm using the same wire everywhere on this pendant and it has about 1 to 1.1 mm diameter, dead soft.

Hey Adrian! Now thats a novel and inspired piece of jewelery, I love the prong clasp at the top, you got a blast of inspiration there Mate! It's brilliant! And the Pet Wood always comes good when you get your hands on it, your love for the material shines through whenever you work it. Very fine cabs Adrian, and a superior design idea! Thanks for sharing your inspirations, it gives us something new to think about and helps us all to evolve our designs! Not lightly are you referred to as.... The Groove Master! Cheers, Sparkles.

Adrian,
VERY cool! I like this design best. And I also like the idea of the entire pendant being handmade. Great job!

That is lovely! The stones are beautiful and I love the idea of the pronged cab on top.
I have no doubt you will figure out how to clean up the back and make it really nice too.
It really looks great on the chain.
Great innovative idea!

Nice groove wrap. Like how you incorporated the two stones into your wrap. Great job.
