When I saw Adrian's dragonfly forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=wwp&action=display&thread=26896I just had to try making one. Mine turned out OK but its kind of like a Chinese knock off. If his was a watch it would have Rolex written on it and mine would be a Rolox. Similar but not quite as good. Still I'm fairly happy with it. I think mine is bigger, it is to large for jewelry so I made it to sit in my rock collection. It found a home on a chunk of hematite. I think Adrian should possibly put some kind of warning on his post. Something along the lines of : Warning do not attempt under the influence of alcohol, medication, two left hands. May cause side effects such as mental fatigue, blurry eyes, sore fingers, and words children shouldn't hear. Caution blindness may occur. (almost got an eye a few times with the long wires sticking out) This was without a doubt the hardest thing I have made out of rock, and I truly realize now just how good Adrian is at this. Thank you for the idea Adrian.

Heck it is industrious just thinking about doing one, and you did it. Great job on that. I can see where you'd get blind and crazy trying to get that right. Just getting the various stones shaped right would be a lot of work for a start. Well done. Kudos to you. I can see a million shapes and forms are possible with this technique. Tony

Man, you are good! fantastic bug you made, glad I inspired you! Thank you very much for your recognition words. We could try to mate our dragonflies to have smaller ones ;D but I'm afraid yours will eat mine after mating, she's so huge!
Hey, our dragonflies may also have a scientific Latin name:
Anisopetra GroovusWrappus ;D

SAS: You are very talented with both the cab making and wire wrapping! I couldn't imagine taking on that project. You made a beautiful dragonfly, you should get a little suction cup thingy and hang it as a suncatcher, it would look pretty hanging in the window! Great job, Adrian certainly makes us want to strive to do a little better with our work! Amber

I think you did a splendid job! Adrian seems to have used a thicker wire - I think it's fabulous - I think they're both Rolexs
I had to laugh at your "Warnings" hehe

Wow, that is really beautiful and something to be proud of. You really did a wonderful job and I like that it can be a table top or office dest accent. I'ld have them placed all over the house.

You really did a great job. I would never have attempted it. If I had, I don't think it would ever look even close to that good! I have a hard time getting things like Wings to match... Fran

You did a great job and I doubt I could do as well. It is tough to compete with Adrian though.
