Got a few finished. I am enjoying wrapping now after months of stiff necks, growling and cussing And I like gold wire after never caring for gold all my life. Go figure...but, dang, the stuff sure is costly. I wish it was worth it's weight in copper, lol. The group... Opal in gold Opal in gold Sodalite in gold the back Sodalite in gold the back Thanks, Tony

Really great job Tony. I love the way you did just the little loops at the tops. It adds something to the stones without stealing the whole show. You do really neat, attractive work and beautiful stones. Perfect.

Great job Tony!! I like them all but I LOVE that last one!
I enjoy wrapping with gold wire also. Silver is ok on some stones, but to me, the gold makes the cabs look flashyer, (hehe if that's a word).
Nice work, keep'em coming!

Tony, you expertly framed these beautiful stones. I like your choice of using gold, accenting them perfectly. Jo

I like your wrapping style, with that "saw-teeth" wire on the contour.
My favorites are the first opal and the second sodalite.

WOW, nice bunch there, I like the 2nd opal and 2nd sodalite the best! Gold wire is spiffy and really jazzes up the stones, especially the BO! This is a good winter project for ya!!! Amber

Those are awesome Tony. I love the BO but that Sodalite cab and wrap is my favorite. The gold wire brings out the subtle webbing and colors. It is just so pretty.

Wonderful group there Tony. That last Sodalite is really eye catching! The gold sets off everything so nicely too! Fran

Wow, fantastic wire wrapping. Like the large sodalite and oblong opal wraps. Gold brings out the colors on both.
Can you buy nugold or newgold still and in wire? Might be cheaper than real gold wire.

Did some research for those that want to dabble in gold but don't want to pay the price. Nugold is a good substitute for a lot less. Here is a link: www.fitler.com/cmw.html

Dude those are great! Your skills have really improved as well as your design eye. Normally I would have pulled out silver for the sodalite but the gold really works for the ones you did. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, ya'll for the nice compliments and encouragement! It does the Thumb Kings heart good 49er... thanks for the link. I'll have to check into that wire. I think I was misleading in that I am using gold fill I got from Rio, not gold gold... but compared to silver... it is big bucks to me Tony
