Well whatever it might be, it's really neat to have something that old and that meaningful to us North Americans!!

Yup. It's just too easy. I pulled Roxy's trick of switching the words around on the thread title.

This is cool and I didn't know bones were in the hump. I thought that it was just muscle. I'm being serious so no wise cracks.

I didn't know bones were in the hump. Gee, I dont know how you could have possibly expected wisecracks from THAT phrase. ehem....but since we are being serious, I didnt realize there were uhhh, any bones in the hump either.

You all have dirty minds!!! I like that about you. Anyhow here is a pic of the bison at the museum. Lots of bones involved in that hump.

PS. LadyB, you told me once that English Language has one of the most rich vocabularies in the world. What's the use, if such misunderstandings still appear? Or maybe this is its charm!

Geesh, I want to ask a legitemate question but it'll get tossed in the mud no matter how I word it. Ok, I have it: So is the camels anatomy constructed in the same way? But it is so much fun reading so: I thought it was just filled with water.

I was. Honest, here's proof That part of the anatomy on the camel is made of muscle and fat, not water or anything else, and used as a reserve when food is scarce. So there would be no chance of that part of the camel to be found as a fosilized specimen. I googled it and the last sentance is my own deduction.
