I met a guy on a MySpace rockhounding group that was offering free pieces of hematite or jaspilite to anyone interested, so I took him up on it. I got a 12x12x5.5 FRB the other day stuffed full! From the top left, left to right: Kona dolomite(stromatolite), dolomite and calcite specimen, jaspilite, Yooper jasper, turgite(iron ore), smoky quartz on hematite, drusy quartz, specularite. Tremolite, quartz druse, cuprite on dolomite, stromatolite, brachiopod fossils, and finally some Lake Superior agates. Close-up of the quartz druse.

Way to go, how cool is that? I love the last picture, real pretty. Where did the guy get all this stuff anyway, enough to just give away like that? Nona
