Got this at Graveyard Point Tuesday. The cyrstals are quite large and some show so much sparkle! I believe the matrix is Sard? Nancy

Sard is just yellowish agate. Matrix usually means the host rock, or common rock it formed in. Basalt, rhyolite, etc. Spiffy quartz crystals!

It amazes me just how clear the crystals can be. Very pretty and you did a great job capturing it in the first pic.

Very nice. Was that a surface find, or did you have to labor for it? I had to bend over ;D I saw about an inch of the tip of translucent brown sticking out of a dirt pile. Pulled it out and got that.
