I just received a 6" sintered trim blade from this vendor on eBay. It's been mentioned several times on this board and I had seen it online. It appears to be a decent blade, for all I knnow, but it isn't marked for direction of rotation and the hole is NOT 3/4" as advertised, but more loike 21mm or about 13/16. i have emailed the vendor and will post an update when I receive their response. They offered a bushing for about $5 that I thought was a little pricey. i went to ACE today and they had a 1/2 to 3/4" bronze flat bushing for $1.17. Freud has one for the same $5 that is "precision"- whatever that means, but I don't think it will fit between my blade stiffeners. If the hole is oversized, it doesn't matter anyway. If tyheir bushing fitys, the cost of the blade becomes less favorable. i alreadty have $33 in it with shipping. the adaptor makes it probably another $7- So beware- this may not be such a great deal. The blades, by the waay, are supposedly made in India and used for commercial cutting operations in southern Asia. So they are probably of reasonavbly good quality. More later,
Mark H.

I have never tried the blades but the lap discs work very well.

I purchased a 6" saw blade from this person on ebay and it works good. I got one with a 1/2 inch hole and it fit on my cabmate machine perfect. I've cut several stones with it and it still seems to be working okay. Now I am curious about the diamond wheels.

I bought 2 8" blades from them. They were a little thin and work well for trimming but not so well for slabbing. At the price, well worth it.

I've got a year and a half of heavy grinding (I'm too lazy to dig out my saw just to trim up preforms) on the 60 and 200 grit diamond wheels I got from rocklady. They are the "Perfect" brand from India. I've got absolutely nothing bad to say. Despite my abuse, both wheels still have lots of life left. I expect I'll get at least 2 years out of them, probably much more than that for the 220 grit as the 60 grit does most of the work.

Something that confused me was that the blade had no direction of rotation (like an arrow) on it. I emailed Ted to ask about this and he said it's a laoidary blade and that it has no direction of rotation- either way would work. it is a sintered blade and I don't know if that should matter, but I had thought that it was true that the blades were to be run in one direction only. Can sintered blades be run either way? Mark H.

I have the 8" sintered blade and a bunch of 8" premounted laps from them. Real happy with all of them. I got a bushing for the blade at home depot for a couple of bucks.

The blades on my WF Tile Saw have to turn a certain way, but I believe the Lapidary blades can go on either way. Terry

Ted sent me a bushing that is 2 piece machined steel and firs perfectly. I have a 6" blade and it was advertised as a 3/4" hole- it was actully about 21mm. So, I had to get the bushing from jhim. He asked only foor $1.50 shipping. The blade itself seems to be of excellent quality. i will need lap wheels soon and that's where I'm going to get them.
