After my wife wore her wire wrapped heart to work, one of the other nurses saw it and wanted one for her daughter's birthday tomorrow. She wanted one in purple so I used a piece of lepidolite that rockyracoon sent me last year. I cut a slab from the rock, cabbed it and did the wire in just over an hour ;D ....and couldn't take a decent pic to save my life

Wow! So clean! Love the gold with the purple. Elegant with a touch of whimsy.

You're too much, Randy. Your growth is amazing. It takes me an hour to just get moving! Seriously, though. I've been trying to start wrapping, and keep wondering how such fine wire can hold it's shape. Does it harden after it's been formed or do you have to do something to get it to keep it's shape? Susan

I think that the curves help it to keep it's shape. Once everything is tied in and binded, it all stays tight.

I cut a slab from the rock, cabbed it and did the wire in just over an hour ;D Oh, go ahead and rub it in, perfection, speed. Yeah some people got it all. ;D I love that cab and wrap and I might start calling you speed meister.

That one is really beautiful. Most people use sterling with purple stones. The gold really sets it off I think.

Thanks! I now have another order for a tigereye cab wrapped in silver, so I ordered 100 feet of silver wire tonight. I should have it by Friday. Tomorrow morning I'll be wrapping a piece of moonstone from "naturenut" that I finished cabbing about ten minutes ago! ;D
