Here is my fourth wrap.... this stuff is fun !!! Front... back... blurry, sorry .... I am listening to everyone's advice.... keep it coming. I would love to play with some square and half round wire, but it is a little out of my budget right now. Hell, I only have a couple more stones worth wrapping right now... and I just checked the stones in my tumbler ( bag that came with the tumbler, just went into polish ) and really I'm not impressed with any of those.... bummer. I could always try rewrapping some though.... Just curious.... I've read the term " face " the cutters to get a cleaner cut...... any idea what that means? I assume grind down the bevel... but I'm not sure. thanks again everyone, Chris

WONDERFUL job. I love the wraps you're coming up with - very creative ways to display the rocks.
Facing the cutters is just that. I also recommend sanding any surface that comes into contact with the wire to get rid of the machine marks that can leave nasty tool marks.

4th one eh? You must be a natural... I really like your unique style here and it looks like you have the techniques down pat. Nice job!

You all are just too kind.... ...... akansan... thanks for the tip.... I could actually polish the tools fairly easily, mine are so small and cheap that I have no qualms about messing tham up ;D . Would anyone want to make some cabs for me? I have a box of rocks I purchased from DeanW and some of them are just too pretty to just smash up and tumble, IMHO ( I, honestly, just barely know what I'm doing, I'm learning though ). I have been posting some pics on this thread... forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=28372 ... I still have many, many more to show .... thanks again everyone!!!!!!! Chris

Well, how creative are you! That's a great wirewrap and really pretty stone.
Although I love the wirewraps with the swirls, curls and such - they are beautiful and I appreciate the workmanship - I'm not a swirls and curls gal. Yours is more me style. Love it!

I really like this wrap and you hit the nail on the head when you said "this is fun" That is the most important factor. Your bindings are incredably creative.
