This stone is only about 5'8" tall and with the 26 gauge wire it looks really nice because of it's small size. I shot a typical wrap with 22 gauge wire and you can see the differance in the wire thickness and compare them. I have way too much of this 26 gauge but I am coming up with things to use it on, and really small stones are the best. The problem being with wire this small is that you can not see any twists where to spin it because of how thin it is, and you need to be careful making the bale as it will need more than two stands to last. This one is actually hanging from the same chain as the Citrine to give you an idea of how small it it is. I have learned that 24 gauge is really as small as I need to go. Thanks for looking -Banjo

The cab and wrap are beautiful and so dainty. That cab would have gotten lost in the 22 g. Is the 1/2 round bindings also 26g?

Both of these are beautiful. The citrine is really pretty with the pink strand running through it. Garry

Sitnwrap- The binding is 24 gauge. I didn't want to experiment with binding as well. Mossyrockhound- The pink is actually Amethyist purple that did not go yellow/orange through the heat that produces the Citrine color. Similar to Yellow tiger eye going 'red' when heat is applied. Thanks for the compliments -Banjo

It's beautiful - it looks like those "Raggeddy Ann" faces from my youth (I'm getting nostalgic)
Great job - I like 'em both
