I finally found someplace local that has some square wire. I have been really sad because I want to learn to do this.
All of the pieces you guys make are so pretty ...
I found ...
2 baggies - 25 feet, 21 gauge Tinned copper (looks almost like silver)
50 feet of 21 gauge square copper
Hopefully I will become a wire wrapping fool!!! ;D

Ooohhh nice! I really do love that copper color. You're gonna be busy now!!! So...
Bring on the wraps!!!!!
(Next you're gonna be jonsing for some half round for the bindings. Sorry, didn't mean to trip up your dance, just wanted you to keep an eye out for it.)

Don't forget to tape tightly and once you get the first binding done, it gets easier to work. Fran

Good for you! I really admire your determination and the square wire will make the wrapping easier for you.

I think I figured out what might be part of the problem.
I am using the square wire with a round and not the half square wire.
Oh well .... I will just keep trying until I get something and then I will get more wire. I have enough wire right now to last me a while and I will keep practicing.
Julie
as always .... thanks
