I hear ya on acquiring patience as you get old-ER. I think your creations take a bit more than just patience though. You really have a good feel on the rocks.

Hey Bob ..That is some awesome work with the obsidian .I've wanted to do something like that for a while ...My brother sent me some chunks of it and now I guess i need to give it a whirl...You ought to do a tutorial like Randy did with wire wrapping... Good job again ...John

Thunder, If you would like to learn flint knapping, there is a site on the net called Paleoplanet that have experts showing people how to knap. I'm still an amateur at it. We have at least, 2 guys here on RTH that are a lot better at it than me. They are Agatemaggot, (Harley) & Knapper 42.
ndk, it takes me about 2 hrs to chip out an 8" blade.

Bob,
You did a great job on the knives. The Obsidian you used has some very nice patterns. I have to try putting a handle on something one of these days. Jamie sent me some Cholla Cactus skeleton and thought I might try that on my first attempt. The blades with the bone handles appears to be the lower leg bones from a Buffalo, am I seeing that right ?
