You sure did an excellent job with these! I am just amazed at the workmanship that went into them! I am sure everyone in the neighborhood loved them! Fran

Well shoot!!!! Flickr is no longer free for me, so I can only see my 200 most recent photos until I pay for it.... I'll have some previous years photos in a couple of days, until then here's some better shots of those.... I was amazed how few people knew what this was in reference to..... anyone care to guess? This pumpkin was small about 5" diameter ( but this is nothing, just you wait ), I haven't done a big pumpkin in a while, most are about a foot or so in diameter. We cheated, this one was from a book ( most are my original designs ).... do note the mummy in the background, that is from the pumpkin too. Hardly anyone could tell what this was.... but those that did, got it in a heartbeat...... what do you think? And finally.... Heath Ledger as " the Joker ", notice the crack running from the top all the way through the bottom? I dropped it while I was carving it ... I almost kicked it across the room, thankfully Diane ( my better half ) stopped me... and with the lights on..... just not the same ;D Just a neat little comparison, this was the actual image I started with to the final product ( I have one for the fourth pic, but I wanna see who can see it first )...

huffstuff ..... well, with the right tools........ frane ... Oh, they always do.... ;D We actually have a growing number of 'regulars' who come just to see them, we live in the type of neighborhood kids leave on Halloween ( better neighborhoods have better candy ), so we do what we can to keep them around ;D Bikerrandy..... Not quite, but thanks . sitnwrap .... Well, I used to heat up a scroll saw blade and stick it into a plastic knife handle..... but now the pumpkin carving kits from Pumpkin Masters are the way to go, they usually come with pattern books ( I'm too stubborn to use those patterns, I make most of my own designs, I'll let you know which ones are not my own ) Thank you everyone!!!!! Chris

Those are AMAZING! If I was a kid and saw that Heath Ledger / Joker on somebody's front porch I'd probably run away screaming ;D.

Well, here's a few more.... these were from 2007... Yes, I am a Bengals fan ( come on... take your stabs now, I'm used to it ) I like movie themes... This was just supposed to be some scary guy, it turned into Colosus from marvel comics... it also projected an image out of the back, supposed to be a person in a window screaming... This was a pattern from a book.... (they are always quick and easy ).... This one is probably my all time favorite.... Who is it? Just so you can get some idea how small it is... And here we are with our creations... after a long night of carving..

Here is 2005... I don't know what happened to 2006 , I'll have to look around... First a group shot... A tiny pumpkin.... bad pic, sorry Another tiny pimpkin... once again... I am a Cincinati Bengals fan ( I don't know why I still admit that )... bad pic again, sorry This was a pattern from a book.... a nice simple one.... Also, a pattern from a book.... it is a tiny pumpkin inside a larger pumpkin, makes a neat effect.... And another pattern from a book ( boy I was lazy that year ) I changed it a little though, added the moon, and fence, also changed the trees a little... another pumpkin in a pumpkin....
