I know we all love our Workforce saws. I love my Workforce saw.
But I felt it was time to look into an actual trim saw. I needed a smoother alternative to cutting preforms, something that I wouldn't loose as much of the slab. I looked around, checked my budget, and then saw the MK 145 tile saw on John's Web site. I asked John's opinion on it...thought...and bought it.
The saw comes with two blades (at least, John sends two blades!) - a 4.5" .06" tile saw blade and a 4" .02" BD 303. The BD 303 cuts through slabs like butter. The saw is amazingly neat - very little excess water (especially if you don't overfill!) and excess water automatically drains back into the hold tank.
So, for 1/4 the cost of a trim saw, this tile saw fills my needs perfectly. I haven't tried the tile saw blade yet, and am not sure I'll ever switch out the blades. My WF will still be used for slabbing chunks that are under 2". But my MK 145 will be used for trimming out my preforms.

I never looked much at 4". Price is nice. Is there much spray?

Nope. It's pretty contained, especially if you leave the guard close to the slab. I trimmed for about 45 minutes and didn't have to change my shirt afterward. I should also add that there's about 1" of blade above the table. But really, I wouldn't want to do more than trim out slabs on that thin of a blade. Cutting rough would be an exercise in futility/blade damage I would think!
