Hey y'all, I'm still experimenting with a style of my own. I would like to hear some "honest" opinions, like are they too fancy, should I do all of them like this, half like this and tone down the other half. I enjoy showing off my stuff and I love to hear some opinions. Thanks!! These are all sterling silver...... This is one of my favorites, the design on the top goes with the design on the bottom...... I got a little fancy on the bottom of this one. Is it a bit extreme, on the edge but hasn't jumped yet, or looks cool the way it is? Another one of my favorites.... I added a bit of contrast to this one by doing the wrap is silver and the binding wraps in gold......

Dang Randy........those are all sweet!! You manage to make them "fancy" without hiding the stone and thats the most important part in my opinion. I like the second one the best. The swirl at the bottom is really nice.

Randy: I am always in awe of people that can wrap, and these are no exception! I usually like a tight wrap, but I have to say that you have complimented these beautifully! The stone is still prominent, and I am not sure how big the cabs are, so for someone like me that likes wearing a big pendant, I think these are super! The extra wire designs elongates the whole piece. I seem to keep going back to the second one, I like the bottom on that one! Amber

Okay, I have a couple of impressions, if you're looking for opinions. They're all gorgeous as they are, but a couple of things I notice, not that what I see is what everyone else sees or feels...
The first one is very balanced top and bottom, and the swirls go with the character of the stone.
The second one is way cool on the bottom, I like it, but the top seems to be a little wide, and throws off the symmetry, especially because there is a vertical pattern on the stone. Just looks a tiny bit top heavy.
The third one, I love the way you duplicated the small double loops to the right side on top and bottom. Looks balanced.
The fourth one looks balanced and has an open feeling to it.
Don't know if I'm making any sense, haven't had enough coffee yet, I guess. Jo

The only thing you need to do is keep wrapping and posting. I've never met a Randy Wrap that I didn't love. Darn those are sweet!
I love that second one with the graduated swirls at the bottom and the twisted wire and I also love the forth one with the gold bindings. I think that is a wonderful look and helps to draw out the colors of the cab.

OK, YOU ASKED. I love what you're doing at the bottoms of the wraps...but I think you should make the bails shorter and greatly reduce the size of the swoops at the top of the wraps. To my eye, they're out of balance. Just my honest opinion, Yd.
They're all beautiful. :oS

Randy, these are all gorgeous-cabs and wraps both. The only comment I would make on the wraps is something that I've been noticing with my own stuff-we have to realize that these will be worn and be sure that there is nothing that will catch on clothing. I gave something I made to a co-worker, and the first thing I noticed when she put it on was that it caught and pulled at her sweater. Open loops catch in sweaters very easily, so I try to make a point of being sure that any loop is completely closed.

YES.... this is exactly what I was looking for, thanks y'all!! Keep it coming!! Jo- I noticed that about the second one after I finished it. Believe it or not, I can actually go back and change it without damaging anything. I may even re-design the top completely. Susan- shorter bails, got it! KJ- these are smoot on the back, all ends are trimmed, tucked or rolled so that any exposed ends are in the front of the wrap. Amber- these are small! lol, this might put it into perspective....

I love them. The 2nd one is my favorite. They might be a little top heavy, but not much.

I bet these look great next to bare skin, they are small and perfect to hang just below the collarbone. I would agree the bail doesn't need to be that large and they are a bit wide on top. Randy, I'm partial to silver and really like these more than the gold wraps.

Ok, here's a question.... if I were to combine the best looking top with the best looking bottom, which two would they be? On the bottom I'm guessing the second one but my opinion is bias! lol

I agree, I like the silver better myself. Here's another size comparison, I think the pics might make them look wider than they really are but maybe not.......

That DOES put it into perspective. Wow, I have even more respect for you now that I see how small you have been working. Here's some food for thought. The top-heavy does not seem such an issue now that I see how tiny it is, however, I wear a scarf just about all the time in the winter, and it is loose knit with alot of "fluff". My fluff would catch on those open loops. 'nough said.
#1 top + #2 bottom. That's my pick.

I honestly don't think that they'd catch on anything, Cathy has tested quite a few of them and she wears a furry thing around her neck. #1 top, #2 bottom...thanks!

So you can actually combine colors? I've tried some copper and silver, but they always have turned out kinda bad. Just amateurs luck probably...Randy if you want an opinion, I Love all of them! They look so good to me cause I'm new at this and I'm probably doing 1/100 of what you're doing! LOL! ;D Keep doing your stuff! It's AWESOME! ;D
