I picked this piece up in New Mexico and immediately it jolted me. You can see why: It looks like a tiger staring back at you! Maybe I'm just seeing things, but that's pretty spooky to me. As an added bonus, upside down it seems to depict something akin to Mount Doom in Lord of the Rings with Sauron's eye looking out above it. Is it just me, or am I crazy?!

I saw an owl, before I read your description. I can see why you think tiger but I still see an owl.

Yeah, I can see the owl, too, now that you mention it!

Funny--I thought 'eagle' first, but 'owl' is better. I think we have to let the 'tiger' go tho--that's a fun find no matter what you see! Nona

Yup,
It's a Barn Owl. They look just like that just after you open the door on a sunny day. Sorta like HEY, I'm tryin to take a nap here !

I see the Owl also and the Eye. I love it when you can see stuff in rocks. That's a good one!

Spooky indeed, but also unique and beautiful! Keep it as it is, it would be a pitty to slab it or even the tumbling could wipe out those one of a kind patterns.

Very cool! Looks like a couple of little knots. The orientation does make it look spooky.
