This is the smallest stone I wrapped so far, It came out O.K., but I think some smaller wire would have worked alot better. I don't know what the stone is ( any ideas? ), but it is a piece off of a rock I found locally. It actually looks like an orange slice, it is much brighter than the pic shows. I want to try some earrings with the small stones, but that will have to wait..... thanks for looking, Chris

That's a pretty cool wrap. It's harder to wrap some tumbled stones, but you did a greatjob.

Your wrap style is pretty cool. I like it. As for the stone, I may be wrong, but it looks like Carnelian. Maybe others will chime in on its ID.
Good job and keep up the good work.

I don't know what the stone is but it is pretty. Great wrap. I like how you framed it. If you don't mind a suggestion I would offer, the wrap is great and you know I love your style, do you file the ends of your wires? You might want to try that if you don't already. It gives a wrap a more finished look and the end are less apt to scratch stones that are soft. Just a thought for you to consider. I'm looking forward to see the earrings wrapped. Lori

Tigger..... Thank you very much Sparky.... yep, it does look llike Carnelian, and it seems that Carnelian can be found all over the US so I'd say that's a good possibility. I really need to read more about id'ing stones I'll get on that... Sitnwrap.... no, I haven't done anything to the ends... yet. I was looking to by a ( some? ) file over the weekend, but there were so many types I wasn't sure what to use ( then I got distracted by other tools.... I love hardware stores ) Do you, or anyone, have any suggestions? Thanks all, Chris

I'm a visual person (need to see rather than read instructions or anything to do with tools.) Here is my set of files. Home Depot for 9.95. The files are different courseness. Just practice filing on some of your scrap ends.
