I realized this should have been a thumbnail picture instead of a full size pic I'm obviously not wearing the correct attire at this particular moment but I was yesterday when I actually wore it to work. It's meant for either a full sleeve or short/tank top - not the 1/2 sleeve I'm wearing but I'm too exhausted to change for the picture  I'm not 100% happy with the front flaps but I'll tweak it a bit here & there at a later date. I might add a coupla inches to the lenght & I may change the front - but for the time being it,s pretty darn good! - I'm rather proud of myself I showed it to colleagues of mine who had inquired about it and the reaction was pretty much the same - amazement! I got quite a few feels with this too - one woman actually got carried away & had to touch it everywhere - does that mean she got to 2nd base with me? Some guy stopped me and asked if I'd made it - then proceeded to follow me to the library and talked about how his son did chainmaille armor as well. It weighs about 4 pounds and has lots & lots of little rings - took me about 2 months on & off to complete it - "watching" movies & TV. Here are it's humble beginnings: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=Pictures&action=display&thread=27053Here's the completed project this is what I was hoping for - or getting close to: www.gianessadesigns.com/chainmaille.htmlStyle comments are greatly appreciated and very welcome, if anyone has a clue how to change the front I'm open to comments Thanks for looking

WOOOOOOHOOOOO Nancy!!!!! That is soooooo cool! I figured you'd have it done soon. And you added a cab too, that really makes it one of a kind.
Terrific job!

Beautiful! I just do not have the words to say how beautiful. Thinking maille, I conjur up images of armour, but this certainly not armour! This is high fashion. Woody

I'll probably still do some work on it, I might even redo the front - it still needs tweaking and I'm looking through my pile for 2 more similar cabs for the front - I think it needs it. Here,s a close-up of the cab - no back though *damn that Tweetie for not showing the back!*

That is too cool! Myself, I would keep the one cab as an accent/broach but I would add about 4 inches to the vest but that's me.

Very cool Tweetie! I think the woman who felt you up was just looking for an excuse. As for the front, please understand my suggestions are coming from complete ignorance, so they may be worthless. I think if you add two large rings to the top closure and a few more to the middle one so that it is not so tight across the bust line, the jacket will drape better down the front. All three closures should have a similar arc to them, I think. It should be relatively easy to try. I don't have nearly enough patience to do something like this, so my hat is off to you! It's great! Holy freaking metal alert, that is amazing. Hmmm. Style. Add a few inches, put the closure under the bust instead of right on; perhaps cross them? Get rid of the top closure, but make sure it still drapes. Does metal drape? I sewed for years, and have a bustline. I have learned that anything that closes right over the bust does not flatter said bust. You did an AWESOME job!!! Holy cow wow. K
