Sunday morning we took the kids over to Cottonwood to the Mingus Gem Show. It was a nice little show, maybe 50 vendors there. I took a few pics from a couple of exhibits, then became so absorbed with everything that I pretty much forgot I had the camera with me for the rest of the show At least I got a few pics there.. Some shots from a dendritic/plume cab display A couple orbs and eggs We all had fun there. My boy Robbie picked up a bunch of great rock (most of it free.. it's amazing to watch an 11 y/o shmoozin' the vendors for freebies lol). My daughter Shasta picked up a nice silver 'worry' ring (the kind you can spin around your finger), and Christa scored some nice silver and black agate earrings. Me? Yeah I picked up a few things too ;D Horn Coral and Dino Bone Luna Bullion Mt Plume Lit Biggs? Assorted slabs OJ and Sagenite Bryozoans? Montanas. The one is 'tubey'.. neat Lagunas Unknown nodule.. maybe an agate, maybe obsidian? The cut face shows a lot of depth and prism things flashing everywhere It's the kids' spring break. We're leaving for a camping trip Thursday morning.. not totally sure where yet, but you know there's gonna be rocks there Thanks for lookin!

Hey Beef, It sure looks like you really had some fantastic things to look at. The dindritics are amazing and I can spend a long time just looking at them! I think you are going to have a lot of fun with the ones you got and I am looking forward to seeing the results! Have fun camping! Fran

Those dendrites are fantastic. Looks like you got some really nice rock to slice and cab. That Biggs, saganite and lagunas are calling me.

Nice grabs. In the "misc" photo, upper left red/yellow slab looks like Arizona (or Utah; Chinle' formation) Rainbow Pet Wood.

My god! Did they pass out drool bibs before having a look at the dentrite display? That certainly is one impressive collection of dentritic material! Woody
