House goes on the market on Monday. Along with cleaning the heck out of it, we're staging it. I'm taking care of my son's plants while he's in San Diego so I thought I'd use them and then added a little something extra. A little closer All quartz. Citrine in the back, Left to right: Rose quartz, light blue quartz, Group of three: Smoky (from TonyTerner), Clear and Rose (from Bejewelme), a smoky heart-shape (found it that way), and a big blue quartz on the right. All are self found except for the center three. All I need now is to find some amethyst... (one of these days, LOL) Hope you like it. Jo

John, you're not out of the loop, I'm just a bit nuts right now. My BF retired about a year ago and we've been getting this house ready with a fine toothed comb ever since. We're selling the house, to settle hopefully end of June or July. We just bought a truck and 5th wheel and will be travelling the country for at least a year before we find where we want to settle. Last May, we gave it a trial run with a rental RV and loved it. Lots of friends and relatives want us to park our wheels for a visit and there's ALOT we wanna see. Oh, and we'll be playing with rocks along the way! LOL.

Jo,
I full timed for 16 month in 1997-1998. Worked my way all over this country. I would not trade that year or so for nothing. I would still live that way if I was not a family man now. I could tell you dozens of hilarious and hair raising stories. Stop in MO when your out and about and I will do just that ;D
John
PM me if you have any questions. I pulled a TT and worked mostly in campgrounds, but did work that winter on the sport fishing boats out of Port Aransas TX. If you call that work! I would have done it for free!!!

Wow John, that's cool. You must've had the time of your life! Were doing it the opposite way- kids are ages 27-23, all but two are out on their own, and these last two are working on it. Time to downsize. If I have questions, and I'm sure we will, I'll be sure to bug you.
Ed, very cool. We are hitting AZ for sure. My step-daughter lives there. Sounds good. Thanks for the offer!

Jo, you can get amethyst at Diamond Hill mine in Antreville, SC and at Jacksons Crossroads(JXR) near Tignall, Ga. I have also got some from Dave Gronki (gronkus on dirtyrockhound board) that he got in Pa. Ken

Lori, LOL.. yeah, but all I can see is work right now and I won't breathe easy until the last two are settled. You know how it is. Still in the nail-biting stage, but still working toward the goal. [sigh] Ken, [frustrated voice] It's right here in my own township! Ugh! [tenacious voice] But, you can bet I'm gonna keep looking and if I don't find it... I'll look where you're pointing me to. Trading for it would be cheating, LOL. This is getting personal now.

You might dress uyp the pot with tumbled stones. Don't leave anything else small and valuable though- househunmters and their realtors sometimes have sticky fingers. I like the granite look wall treatment- is it paper or paint? By the way- love to meet you if you get down this way. Lots of camp sites, and we're just across the bay from Destin, FL.
