I recieved this stone from Frane ( fran, this one was my favorite ). Anyone have any idea what it could be? I wanted to do it in gold square wire, but I just couldn't wait so it got copper.... I'm not sure why, but I just keep short changing myself on wire... My last few wraps came out nothing like my sketches, because I keep cutting the wire too short. I have been able to make them work,so it's no big deal, but it gets a little frustrating. Well I guess there is two pluses . 1. I conserve wire, I have only cut off about 2 inches of copper 20 ga total in the 2 wraps I have done 2. I have a few sketches I can do later ;D So, I guess it's not to bad at all.... lol OH, also, A friend really wanted the butterfly wings Steve made, but she couldn't have them, so I made her a butterfly anyway, out of a small piece of amethyst... an ugly, lopsided butterfly that is.... lol Chris

My first thoughts of your first wrap is that it is just "dripping" with copper. Kind of like a woman who drapes a long elegant scarf around her neck and then lets it just fall and flow.
That butterfly that you made for your friend is really something! She is going to love it.

Both of these look great! If I remember correctly, the first one is a Montana agate and it really looks dressy! you did a fantastic job! That butterfly amethyst is cute also! I think your friend will love it! Fran

Want to let you know that I really like your butterfly. (Like them both, actually) That couldn't have been easy making those butterfly markings and connecting it all in a way that works. Good job, I think she'll like it.

You draw things up first!?! lol I've never never done that but then again my wraps are nearly as complicated as yours. Nice work on both.

Thank you all... as always.... but your being kind about the butterfly aren't you? lol... Yeah, I guess it is "something ", " cute " , " a cool idea ", and maybe even a little " neat "... he he he... But come on naturenut.... do you really like it?!?! just kidding, lol. If you do like it, would you like to have it? The person I made it for really wanted something in copper, so I'm going to wrap her something else... this is just laying here in a tin with the rest, so let me know.... Yep sitnwrap, " dripping with copper ", that's pretty much the look I was going for. I think my original design had a little more balance, but I do like how this came out. And Tony, yep... I'm a sketcher, even the little butterfly, but there is no point when I keep cutting the wire to short and end up winging it anyways... lol

I don't know what you sketched out, but that copper wrap came out beautiful! Did you hammer the bottom curls? KJ
